Acrow Team Members Volunteer at Morris Habitat for Humanity Build in Randolph, NJ

(Parsippany, New Jersey) – 23 November 2022 – Acrow, a leading international bridge engineering and supply company, is delighted to report that it recently participated in the construction of The Crossings at Bennett Avenue in Randolph Township. The project is being organized by the nonprofit Morris Habitat for Humanity and will provide twenty-five affordable condominium units for low- to moderate-income homeowners. Morris Habitat received $3M in federal funding for the project, the largest in its 36-year history.

The Crossings at Bennett Avenue is being built on a former industrial site and will consist of four buildings with one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. The complex will be ADA-compliant and include the highest standards of energy efficiency and safety. In addition to a community meeting room, the property will have a playground, an outdoor picnic area, sidewalks, and bike paths. It is anticipated the first 13 condos will be finished late this year, with the final 12 units to be completed in late 2023.

Ten Acrow team members volunteered their time at the site on November 17 assisting with drywall preparation, insulation, and site cleanup. The project has received widespread support from numerous corporate sponsors and professional services have been provided pro bono or at reduced rates. In addition, Habitat “Homeowners-in-Progress” are required to contribute a minimum of 300 hours of volunteer time towards building their own homes or otherwise furthering Morris Habitat’s mission.

“Morris Habitat is a wonderful organization, and I am thrilled so many members of our team took part in this important project that will improve the lives of so many of our fellow New Jerseyans,” said Acrow’s President and COO, Mark Joosten. “It is truly an honor to work with colleagues so committed to giving back to their community in this way.”
