Acrow Bridge’s Paul Sullivan Participates in Roundtable on Bilateral Trade with Peru

Event in Lima focused on the perspective of small and medium enterprises

(Parsippany, New Jersey) – 15 December 2016 – Paul Sullivan, Vice President of International Business Development at Acrow Bridge, a leading international bridge engineering and supply company, participated in a roundtable discussion at the Future of Bilateral Trade from a Small & Medium Enterprise Perspective event in Lima, Peru on November 15. The event was co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration and the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru.

The discussion provided a forum for the exchange of ideas on free trade agreements, entrepreneurial capacity and the future plans of both governments, Other participants included Juan Carlos Mathews, Deputy Minister of MSE and Industry, Peru; Edgar Vásquez, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Peru; and John Andersen, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Western Hemisphere, U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.

“Governments can play an important role in helping SMEs access international markets, and ensuring a level playing field as opportunities are pursued,” said Sullivan, who is a frequent speaker at international development conferences. “From connecting SMEs to potential end-users and local partners, to advocacy support during the implementation stage of projects, government actors can serve as capable business development multipliers when engaged appropriately, supporting job development at home and abroad.”

The American Chamber of Commerce of Peru serves to promote the free market system by promoting trade, investment and exchange between Peru and the United States, within a framework of social responsibility, values ​​and business ethics.
