Installation

One of the distinct advantages of Acrow’s modular bridging system is the ease and speed of installation. Where comparable conventional bridges can take months of skilled labor and heavy equipment to build and erect, an Acrow bridge can be assembled and installed in a matter of hours or days. With all bridge components prefabricated and requiring no field welding, the Acrow bridge is capable of being launched with or without skilled labor and sophisticated equipment, including cranes. This is particularly appealing in locations where access to resources is a challenge and the ability to use local labor and basic hand tools to erect a bridge makes all the difference in the world.

Three Options for Fast Installation

Cantilevered

The cantilever launch allows for an Acrow bridge to be rolled into place without the use of a crane. The most common approach, it is ideal for locations where a large crane is not available or too costly to use.

Crane Assist

An Acrow bridge can also be launched using a crane if the required equipment is available. This method is fast and easy and requires less counterweight than a cantilevered launch.

Lift In

With the right size crane, an Acrow bridge can be lifted into place. The fastest of the three options, this method of installation is often required in exceptionally demanding situations, where, for example, timing and speed are critical.
